YANG + YIN 2025 FALL SCHEDULE: 

DATES:

September ~ 17, 24

October ~ 01, 08, 15, 22, 29

November ~ 05, 12, 19, 26

December ~ 03, 10, 17

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Classes are ~30 minutes of Hatha yoga (yang) followed by ~30 minutes of longer held yin poses.  Work on strength and flexibility while nurturing a mind-body connection.  All skill levels welcome!

PRICING:

3 class pass ~ $50

Drop-in fee ~ $20

Monthly  pricing options:

September ~ 2 class pass ~ $30

October ~ 5 class pass ~ $90

November ~ 4 class pass ~  $60

December ~ 3 class pass ~ $50

If you can make the full 14 week commitment ~ $225

ABOUT

My yoga practice began in the early 2000’s when I was working as an Earth Scientist at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  It was my way of incorporating more movement and seeking a deeper connection in my body to counter the sedentary lifestyle of office work.   The pranayama aspects of the classes had an immediate impact on me and I have been hooked ever since.  I continue to practice yoga and have found it to be a significant source of cultivating a sense of community since arriving in Newfoundland in 2006.   

 

I first started the 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 with Shakti Yoga to deepen my personal practice but learned that I very much enjoyed the teaching aspects when completing the practicum hours.  I discovered a passion for sharing the benefits of yoga with others in group and private classes.  I completed a 40-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training (February 2025) and 16-hour Yoga Nidra Training (June 2025) with Shakti Yoga Method.  My goal is to align my teaching aspirations with my enthusiasm for mindfulness, movement, and sharing this with others.
